Unearth To Release Vinyl Version Of "The Oncoming Storm"

Good afternoon, Abyss! If you've been patiently waiting for news from the Unearth camp on their follow-up to 2015's absolutely brutal release 'Watchers Of Rule,' you can just keep on waiting. Yep, after coming off of the road mid-way through September, Unearth have been characteristically quiet and coy about their 2018 plans, dropping the occasional studio pic, references to demos, and little else. Way to wet the appetite, boys! After shaking the magic 8 ball that I live my life by, it turns out that we can expect a new Unearth record next year. Until then the band has decided to offer us an after-school snack that promises not to spoil our dinner. Regarded by many as not only the band's finest album, but as a cornerstone of Metalcore in the new millennium, 2004's 'The Oncoming Storm' is getting the vinyl treatment and you can pre-order your copy now. Featuring now ex-drummer and human octopus Mike Justian, as well as former bass player Jon 'Slo' Maggard, 'The Oncoming Storm,' which was produced by the George Martin of metal, Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage, Times of Grace), is a blueprint for how a modern metal record can and should sound. No doubt it'll sound even better on your turntable. Rage on! JPR
